Our Story

Hi, I’m Samantha- a homeschool mom turned reading tutor.  What’s my story?  Two of my four children had a difficult time learning to read.  After finding a LindamoodBell trained tutor in our local area, they thrived in their reading skills and I was hooked – intrigued by how and why this type of tutoring worked.  After several years, I had the opportunity to be trained in LindamoodBell programs as well as in Balavisx.  Now, I’ve been privileged  to help other students excel in their reading skills too.
Am I a certified teacher? No.  I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from Wayne State College and a Master of Science degree in Life Sciences from Kansas State University- possibly why I find the brain biology behind reading difficulties so fascinating! 🙂
